Sign and Smile offers two different courses dependant on the age and developmental stage of your little one. 


Tots and Toddlers (Baby Sign):

You and your little one will learn  around 100 signs in this fantastic 10 week course. Each week your baby or toddler will learn 10 new signs through an array of fun and exciting activities, whether it be through nursery rhymes, story time, puppets, music, action songs or games, your little one will be captivated. We will begin with basic signs and as the weeks go by we will progress on to other subjects such as nappy, bed and bath time, pets and animals, feelings and a host of other fun and helpful topics. New songs will be sung each week and repeated regularly so that your little one is familiar and able to join in. Not only will there be lots of fun signs and songs to learn, but your little one will get the chance to become their very own little composer when they get use percussion instruments. Our puppet, Signing Suzie is a regular visitor to the classes. Each class will run for an hour and will include time for free play for your little one with an assortment of books and toys and of course the chance for you to ask questions, meet new friends or just sit back and relax with cuppa.


Little Movers (Preschool Signing):


Our Little Mover classes are lots of fun and it doesn’t matter if you haven’t previously signed either. The classes follow a similar format to our baby sign classes, but they are  more energetic and involve lots of toddler and preschooler participation. Signing Suzie is a regular visitor and you and your little one will learn 100 signs.  Our Little Movers classes not only focus on signing but also on group games and songs and involve lots of energetic activities. In some of our classes your little one will get the chance to do some messy play activities.  As with our Tots and Toddlers Classes, we start with signing basics and progress on to other topics such as family, transport and a zoo safari.  All the activities we do in our classes help aid your son or daughters speech and language and aids the process of learning to sign. Your little one will be more than entertained and so will you!
