Are Classes Effective?
Sign and Smile’s baby sign classes have been produced, written and road tested for the last four years by Katja O’Neill, the founder of another independent baby sign company called Signing Babies. Laura Farag has adapted the lessons for Sign and Smile.
Signing Babies is a very successful company based in Hertford and the surrounding areas. Katja is a qualified Sign2Me presenter from the original Baby Sign organisation in the US www.sign2me.com, which is based on Dr Joseph Garcia's SIGN with your BABY programme. Sign and Smile have devised their own Preschool Signing classes, whereby Laura Farag has used her knowledge and understanding of the Birth to Three Matters Framework and the Early Years Foundation Stage. She has drawn on her own experience of being a Mum to her preschooler Samuel, and her previous work as a Volunteer Creche Assistant and Volunteer Teaching Assistant.
